Gruissan, a small fishermen’s village at the Mediterranean See with
an historical centre, build around a centuries old tower, “La Barberousse”,
where sunburned fishermen, small cigarette in their mouth, still are wondering
around in the narrow streets and the authentic market.
Beautiful beaches with fine yellow sand, more then 300 days of sun a year, tasteful
Corbiëre-wines, well sorted fish kitchen, bouillabaisse, “fruits
de mer”, oysters and mussels direct out of the sea…
Not far away Narbonne, the historical Roman port with its imposing cathedral,
the influence of the Cathares with their castles on rocky picks in the Pyrenees,
the wall of the city of Carcassonne, Montpellier and Beziers…
A lot to see and to do:
and at 50 meters the beach, to lie down for a sunbath and to forget all English
bad weather and working stress…
But also diving lessons, surfing, biking, boot trips, horse riding, carting,
tennis, beach volley…
And of course, a daytrip on our own sailing yacht, with a pick nick and a remember full dive in the clear blue sea…
